Book launch: Love Story by Eleanor Flowers

Kickstart this Valentines/Galentines season at Prismatic Pages with Eleanor Flowers as she launches her debut poetry collection Love Story. Illustrated by artist Tanya Styrvold, a very limited number of first edition books will be available for purchase and signing.

Poetess, chanteuse and playwright Eleanor Flowers is delighted to invite you and your besties to an evening of poetry and showtunes from her show Love Story, which has been running as a cabaret at Sommerro hotel since 2024. 

Described by Glass Magazine as “captivating” and “heart wrenching”, Ms. Flowers will perform some of her best loved poems and songs from the show, along with more intimate poems from the original poetry manuscript which have never been publicly performed. 

Love Story tells the tale of a woman freeing herself from a toxic relationship to find her voice as an artist and her feet as an immigrant in Norway’s capital. The work is written as an ode to Oslo and is the perfect antidote to tired Hollywood tropes of romance, asking the question: what really is love? 

The concert will be followed by a panel discussion on the story behind Love Story and the role of cabaret, poetry and love in times of political turmoil.
