David Toms on Hold Over Fire
"In the time since 2019, I have continued to write and work towards this new collection which has seen a huge number of new life milestones for me: marriage, home ownership, the death of a parent, and the birth of a child. It is no surprise, perhaps, that the passing of time and the shifting seasons have come to have such resonance. Many lasts and many firsts". -
From the article: "Shifting Seasons and The Passage of Time"

Ellen Dillon is a poet and teacher from Limerick, Ireland. She was shortlisted for the 2024 Prototype Prize for artists and writers working at the intersections of different literary and artistic forms, and was Arts Council of Ireland Writer in Residence at University College Cork in 2025. She has published books on the life and work of Fernand Deligny, the history of butter in Ireland, Stephen Malkmus's guitar, Stéphane Mallarmé's teaching career, and the ghost of Townes Van Zandt.

Dean Browne is an Irish poet. He won the 2020 Geoffrey Dearmer Award for his poem “The Last Consultation”. His pamphlet Kitchens at Night won the 2021 Poetry Business International Book & Pamphlet Competition. His 2025 debut book, After Party, was a Poetry Book Society recommendation for autumn 2025. He was appointed writer in residence at University College Cork for 2026 and was chosen by United Kingdom Poet Laureate Simon Armitage to take part in the Poet Laureate’s 2026 library tour event in Newcastle, County Down.
